Burned by Sarah Hualde

5.0

After reading and listening to Grounded by Sarah Hualde I knew this one was going to be a good read too.

Burned sees Penny return to Billington a town a few miles from where she spent time in Foster care. She's in town to seek answers from her child advocate Dinah.
Whilst in town the Raven makes an appearance but not in the normal expected way.

I love the character of Penny and the way these novels turn into a mystery, this one a who dunnit mystery.

Burned is the 6th book of the series however I have only read book 1 before this. I don't know if reading book 6 has spoiled anything in between but I felt like reading Burned didn't cause any confusion. So I assume they can be read as a standalone.

I really enjoyed this novel, it's cosy and once you start it you can't put it down. It's such an easy read. I look forward to reading more of them
