John Quincy Adams: A Public Life, a Private Life by Paul C. Nagel
3.0
If you are looking for a political biography, then go elsewhere. This is more of a psycho-history, using letters and diaries. I think Nagel's argument is interesting and important to read to understand Adams. However, I felt his argument could be better summarized in a long article, not a book as I got tired of it by the end of the book.
Overall, a solid book and I would recommend it.
