Good Guys Don't Lie by Micalea Smeltzer

Rating: 4.5

Micalea Smeltzer is now one of my top favorite authors. They way she captures the reader and makes them feel like they are apart of the book, is a skill that only a few authors can do (that I’ve read). She made me feel all the feels in this book and I loved it.

Cree is definitely a new book boyfriend. His attentiveness to Ophelia, he’s smart, athletic, has a dirty mouth, kind l, and all of the characteristics that makes you bring home to meet your parents! Love love love him.

Ophelia. She’s sweet, compassion, has a disability but you would never know, beautiful and puts others before herself. These two are definitely a match made I. Heaven.

There was no climatic plot. I wasn’t on the edge of my seat, but loved the story. I was 80% through and was like what could possibly go wrong? When it did, if you can even say that, I was like oh,ok. I’m not even sure it needed a big dramatic scene, and it wasn’t, but I just love the story so much. One thing I didn’t like, what was the part where Teddy comes back, didn’t make sense-unless it was giving an update to the readers who read his story.

This is a standalone, but part of an interconnected series.
