The House of Ashes by Stuart Neville
3.0
The story line of this book was interesting enough to keep me going, but there were some loose ends throughout the plot that I think could have been tied down better. Domestic violence is a major theme in this book, portrayed poignantly and in a way that is meant to empower survivors, especially women.
Pros: Interesting plot, good character development, fairly easy to read
Cons: Holes in the story line, aspects of the story that were more extraneous details than necessary points, emotionally difficult
