Keeper of Scarlet Petals is written in a 3rd person single POV, however there are two chapters written in someone else's POV. The chapters are fairly short and although there is romance and two open door scenes, it takes a backseat and the story is more focused on the magic.
This was fun, and had some great, hilarious scenes. I mean burning the eggs? Absolutely hilarious, had me crying with laughter!The steak scene was also super cute and heartwarming.
The world building was easy to follow and the magic system is fun and unique.
I, personally, would have liked to learn more about the world and the magic system. I feel like there is a lot of potential for this book and series. I just would have liked it to have more substance. Overall, I enjoyed it.
