“Love is the easiest thing if you let it be.”

loved seeing asexual representation in a romance book and loved the specification that this is just one person's asexual experience and it's not a one size fits all sort of thing. especially loved that this character knew he had no interest in sex but still wanted a romantic relationship and he stuck to it throughout. loved that his best friend/eventual boyfriend (who wasn't on the ace spectrum and did in fact enjoy sex) would have been more than content to be in a sexless relationship as long as he had him, and loved that they said various times that sex isn't the most important thing in a relationship.

it did at times feel more like mc3 was an extra rather than being an equal since mc1+mc2 were together much sooner and the whole story was working towards the point of the triad officially being together, but they were all equals by the end and it was a natural progression so it makes sense. the ending sadly did feel quite rushed though and i think they deserved more time to show the deep conversations and established relationship. it was enjoyable overall, just wish we got to see more of them once they were actually together.

this was lighthearted with very minimal angst and the characters are all so sweet. i'm normally not one to read a whole series but if they're stand-alones then it can be fun, and i've thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and seeing the previous/future characters make their appearances throughout.

“And, maybe, someday down the line, it won’t even be a question. Maybe every kid will hear words like gay and ace, transgender or nonbinary, and know there’s no one right way to be.”
