I’m not entirely sure if this is a 3 or 4 star review, likely more of a 3.5 than anything.
Overall, I really enjoyed the concept of this book. It’s easy to read and if this didn’t have so much spice, I would’ve thought this was YA. It was everything I enjoy - dark academia, dark romance, easy read, thrilling, mysterious; a total enigma.
There were a few sentences/paragraphs that were confusing. I thought it was just me struggling to read after a long day but I’ve seen others with the same complaints. It’s almost as if AI wrote this book.
Physically, this book is gorgeous and has a unique set up which I did thoroughly enjoy.
TLDR: great concept, beautiful book, poor writing/editing, still enjoyable read, will definitely read the next book if one comes out
