Diego Torres is a man who doesn’t like to lose. But when you learn some of his background it will make sense. Harper Maclean is willing to take the risk of being self-employed. With that comes a lot of responsibility. Her son Nathan will have you wrapped around his finger, which makes him the perfect scene-stealer. Andi is an interesting woman who is a great friend to Harper.
This is one of those stories where our male character is fishing for information and needs to loosen the woman up a little. But it is interesting to see a man who is more comfortable in the military slowly evolve. Then we have a woman who may be willing to take a chance and go after something she wants. And once the match is struck, the gloves come off and the heat level will go through the roof.
If you love your military romances then you may want to check this one out. Diego seems to be perfect SEAL material. He may seem like he’s all about the job but then he meets Harper and eventually starts to question his life. Now the author could have left the story there but we have some mystery and suspense that ties every thing together. It’s also interesting to see a rough around the edges guy be brought down by a woman and her son. Only you can decide if we have a happy for now or happily ever after ending.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
