An excellent meditation on how toxic masculinity forms and is reinforced. I liked the part where she talks about how she is also afraid of women because of the times when women encouraged or dismissed misogynist actions. She also deconstructs the idea of a "good man" essentially creating a fictional caricature that can not exist in real life. The text mourns the loss of opportunity and freedom caused by fear/anxiety derived from misogyny and calls on the reader to actively analyze their own actions in trying to break free of this fearful cycle.
