Welcome to my top guilty pleasure read of 2022 of which I have no shame in declaring.
This was over-the-top ridiculous new adult nonsense and I mean that as a compliment.
The drama was telenovela worthy and the characters were entertaining but in a generic sort of way - like I can’t remember any of their names without reading the synopsis, but I also don’t feel a need to commit their names to memory - and that’s totally okay.
I will probably continue on with the series because the plot is so fast-paced it’s like reading a short story and I’m not here for the nuance per se, I’m here for the entertainment. Because this is quite entertaining even if it’s not in a profound manner.
It’s very CW mixed with reality TV in book format and that’s perfect for when I want to turn my brain off.
