2204 Hunter Lane by Marie-France Teresa Leger

5.0

I loved this book so much, I knew that it was based on true events but sometimes when that happens a story can be lost and feel fictional but with this it was the exact opposite you felt connected to the characters and their stories and you felt the realness of it. It was very raw and emotional and you felt the character growth. This was definitely an emotional rollercoaster, I laughed and cried, I was sad and pained and I honestly sympathized alot with hunter and marley.

Hunter was soooo good, he just was in alot of pain. He was a great guy trying to cope with the crappy cards life threw at him. He went through something traumatic and it sent him into a spiral.

Marley was a sweetheart. She was always let down by everyone around her and didn’t know she could depend on anyone. She was always playing into what other people wanted her to be and so seeing her find herself and while finding the person she wanted to be she helped everyone around her.

This was a beautiful story about finding light in darkness, seeing the good in terrible situations, overcoming grief and the road to healing and finding a family because sometimes it’s more than the people you’re blood related too.

I know this book is promoted on tiktok and yes it has spice and the top level tiktok tropes but it’s so much more than that, and i hope a lot of people see this story how i see it..
