Man teenagers are moody. Reading this actually gave me flashbacks to some of my own interactions with my mom. In the moments I felt justified in my brattiness, and so did Coco. The names in this were a little too quirky and niche for my taste, and it made up a decent portion of the banter in the book. This story us as much about the adult relationships as much as it was about the teens, and while it isn't marketed as YA it definitely could be. If I suspend my horror at these kids running across Europe with no phones and their parents having no idea where they are, it's cute. The miscommunication made me want to bang my head on the wall and the twist/resolution at the end was incredibly random. I might try another book by this author, but maybe shift more towards her normal wheelhouse.
