I read and reviewed [b:The Alchemist|18144590|The Alchemist|Paulo Coelho|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1466865542l/18144590._SY75_.jpg|4835472] earlier in 2020 and found it to be a charming experience. I'm not sure I found the graphic novel to have an equal amount of charm, but I still found it quite enjoyable.

The Alchemist is about a young boy who has a dream and finds the courage to pursue it. It is an overt parable in which the author strives to teach his readers many truths about life and personal legends. From my admittedly poor memory, the graphic novel is fairly faithful to the original story, containing most (if not all) of the story in one way or another. Very little new is brought to the table, which is a good thing. The artwork is exceptional and on theme. Some of the text choices, but artistically and grammatically, weren't the best, but it wasn't too distracting. Overall, it was a well-done adaptation that will help to bring a greater audience to this epic tale.
