“I'm scared to let go of my fear; but it has a purpose: it keeps me ready.”
Described in reviews as ‘dark’ and ‘deeply disturbing’, I am disappointed to report that I don't quite agree. I thought that the book had an interesting premise and was quite easy to read. But, although there is an element of horror, I didn't get that vibe at all nor did I feel any shivers running up and down my spine. So, not quite what I expected but not awful either.
My rating: 2.5⭐
