Although some parts were predictable, the last ~quarter of the book had my jaw on the floor with those plot twists.
I love how the author made the house remember everything like the thud and taps at the same time every morning, later telling us exactly what they were from. I know some people hated this book, but I absolutely loved it. I appreciated Sager including the House of Horror into the book so we could see exactly what Maggie and the rest of the town referred to. I am still left with some questions, like why did Dane act so guilty when Maggie went to question him? Is it because he knew what “Maggie” did and was just going along with her parents’ plan? Despite having some questions, I feel Sager did an excellent job tying everything together, explaining the occurrences.
