Mrs Hudson's Case by Zoe Elkaim, Bob Difley, Laurie R. King

4.0

This is very good. I love the description at the beginning of the story of what Mrs. Hudson thought about Holmes vacating 221B, her reaction to the new tenants, and how and why she ultimately chose to stay connected to that insufferable genius of a man.

I think it would not be a stretch to say that Holmes was a wreck without her, and quite frankly she without him. When the better part of 3 or 4 decades are spent in a certain lifestyle changing those habits so completely is often difficult if not impossible, as our favorite detective and apparently his "long suffering landlady" elucidate with crystalline perfection.

I would love to see more stories short or long beyond the burgeoning King cannon. This story and Beekeeping for Beginners has made me very hungry indeed for these stories from Holmes point of view or looks into their lives beyond the cannon.
