Fire Ice by Clive Cussler, Paul Kemprecos

3.0

I enjoyed this book about the most of all the Clive Cussler books that I have read. The main character, Kurt Austin, was more likeable than Dirk Putt, still confident, but not quite as cocky. In this adventure, Austin has to stop some evil Russians from creating tsunamis that would wipe out major cities in the U.S. and create more global warming that would help Russia and make the U.S. like a dust bowl. Of course plenty of action and fighting ensued, but Austin managed to kill the bad guys, save the day, and still end up with the beautiful girl in his bed at the end of the day. Obviously not the most realistic book I’ve ever read and a couple points seemed to tie up a little too neatly, but all in all I enjoyed it. I give it a B-.
