Math Without Numbers by Milo Beckman

4.25

a good introduction to what "real math" is for the non-mathematician. I promise it's actually understandable and not too annoying and my recommendation isn't just coming from my bias as a huge proponent of numberless math and abstraction of anything and everything. you will like the math. come closer.

for anyone who's studied math past high school, the math presented is pretty basic and surface-level, but it's written in a fun and engaging manner so I still recommend it. sometimes it's useful to look at things from a more relaxed, intuitive perspective and this book is great for that (without getting too bogged down in history and people and other things that aren't math, the way a lot of pop math books do). also reading it reaffirmed to me that algebra is the best <3 love when there's things and stuff.
