Not Quite Perfect by Catherine Bybee

5.0

I have read the entire Not Quite Series and I love them all for different reasons. This is Mary and Glen's story. We met Mary and Glen in Not Quite Forever. They were attracted to each other but living across the country and Glen's playboy pilot lifestyle has kept them from moving past a few phone calls. Mary's severe independence has kept her from reaching out to Glen. Afraid of getting involved with such a player. But, when she actually needs him and he proves he can be there for her, she can't keep denying her feelings. Glen has always wanted Mary. More than any other woman he's known, but he took her indifference as not interested. When he finally realizes he just needs to show up and tell her it's happening, she responds. Mary has to learn to ask for help and Glen has to push her out of her comfort zone. When Mary's life is threatened, Glen proves he wants to be there. Can Mary trust Glen to be around for the long haul. Will Glen finally give up his playboy ways for real love? I loved this story! Mary and Glen are the perfect couple. Independent, funny, sexy and they just know how to play each other. Glen is sexy! I mean, come on, he's a pilot!! I love how strong Mary is even when she asks for help. I can't get enough of this series and I loved seeing old friends!

"Have you ever had dessert before dinner?"
His hand slid behind her neck and encouraged her into his arms as he lowered his lips to hers.
"I've wanted to do that for a very long time."
"You caught me off guard."
"We’re even then. Now we can have a nice evening without either of us wondering what that was going to taste like."

"And he's a player. I know he's a player."
"But you said yes to a day anyway."
Mary paused. "He is cute."

"Sexy. Okay…cute is for boys. Hot. And all those cocky parts are a bit of a turn-on if I were being honest."
