A historical fiction graphic novel that is first and foremost an adventure tale, which brings to mind such adjectives as rollicking, swashbuckling, and rip-roaring.
I imagine this will be an easy rec to many middle grade readers - do you like stories with twins (not one set but double the fun with two!), hidden identities, pirates, stowing away, sword fighting, ghostly mermaids, stormy seas, daring bravery and everyday objects that contain secret treasure maps? Did I have you at pirates or ghost mermaids?
