I enjoyed this book, although at times it leans too heavily on a Camp Half-Blood Chronicles template of transplanting important mythological locations and people onto familiar U.S. locations. It'd be refreshing if the series at least treads a bit far afield to include Canada, or, better yet, becomes less U.S.-centric. The later books in the Heroes of Olympus series in the Camp Half-Blood Chronicles at least shake things up with a globe-trotting itinerary.
