Beast by A. Zavarelli

This is not Disney’s beast!

This book was enjoyable when you get into it but can be on the confusing side. I have read books in the past that deal with reluctance/ non consensual relationships where you can clearly follow the path of captive to loved one but there are times when I feel this book pushes it to far.

The story follows Isabella who is a reality show popstar that’s lost her creative control to her record label and Javi who was a test subject in a government experiment to create assassins. Javi wants to get revenge on the person who hurt him most by betraying his trust when he was just a child. Javi takes his revenge by abducting the daughter of the man who recommended him for the experiments Daughter, the before mentioned Isabella. We get to join the characters while Javi tries to break Isabella and possible starts to heal himself in the process.

I would not recommend this story to anyone that’s not okay with Knife play in the bedroom, or who is sensitive to mental abuse. Though I will be checking out some of the other books by A. Zavarelli
