4.5
I’d give it a 4.5/5. It was a really good story, and I loved how the story just focused on Kya and her loneliness and abandonment and her survival in life. I found the beginning kinda slow, it just seemed like a lot of scene setting and not enough events. I honestly didn’t think Kya killed Chase, I thought it was either Tate or Chase’s actual wife. I like that her love of nature and the marsh stayed with her and hence how she got away with murder. I also enjoyed that Jodie came back into her life, that way she had one family member who cared about her. Overall good read!
