I liked the idea of the atmosphere, I hated the execution. None of the characters are likeable and the MC just wanders around getting into trouble instead of actually trying to find her brother.
It was all too drab and not in the brooding French way I would have liked. Or maybe it was too brooding that made it drab in all the wrong ways. Does that make any sense? ._.
I also accidentally spoiled the ending for myself and didn’t understand how anything up to page 92 relates to the ending in any way that would make me continue reading.
