I loved The Death King and I loved this too!! This sequel is incredible and had me devouring this book as quickly as I could! Luckily, I only have to wait a few more weeks to read the next book in the series, The Dragon King.
While our broody MMC Talon's backstory was tragic and truly heartbreaking💔, I enjoyed following the journey that led him to where he is today. During the present parts of his story, he was the perfect amount of dramatic, shirtless, and demanding and I looove him for it. He's one of my favorite book boyfriends. I'm a bit obsessed after reading this book, even more so than after finishing the first book!
Catching up with Calista after the ending of the first book was fascinating as well. All of her decisions were valid and I'm very pleased with where this story took her. To avoid spoilers, I'm stopping myself there! Let the countdown to The Dragon King begin!!
