The kind of book that makes you re-think all the past 5-stars you've given to other books. One of the best stories I've read, I had to actively pace myself while reading so I didn't tear through the story too fast. In my opinion, the perfect blend of myserty, intrigue, romance.... Couldn't have asked for more from the sequel. Additional stories were fun and sweet, providing some background and extending the story a bit. I especially enjoyed the Huadian one, with a glimpse back to the earlier days of Yan Xiaohan & Fu Shen.
A word for the final short story: strange and unexpected, but sweet.
