Protector for Hire by Tawna Fenske

5.0

Sorry Mac, but my favorite Patton is now Schwartz. I admit to liking the grumpy/sunshine dynamic, I also liked that the suspense element was a little higher in this book. I may have received the “are you crazy” side-eye from my kids (and dogs) for laughing so much while reading this. Poor Janelle does not have the skills needed to be completely covert and the diner scene was especially hilarious.

I loved Schwartz & Janelle as a couple, their banter, trying to move on from past mistakes, and the HEA. This was a great ending to the series and I’m definitely going to read more of Fenske’s work.
