The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

5.0

If I were giving this book a critical/less emotional rating, I would probably give it three or four stars. There are quite a few author mistakes (incorrect character ages, misplacement of characters in scenes), and some of the plot (mostly smaller things such as rations and unavailability/availability of certain items) is unbelievable enough to take you out of the story. HOWEVER, for the beauty of the story alone, and the heartbreakingly incredible storytelling of war, love, family, and heartbreak, I have to give it five stars. It continuously made me cry, which I normally loathe in a book, but at the same time I am very glad to have read it.
