The Writing Retreat by Julia Bartz

4.0

3.75 stars for this debut!
This novel reminded me of 9 Perfect Strangers ( which I was not a fan of ) but I still read this one through.

Alex, a struggling author who really wants to make it big, gets invited to her favorite author’s writing retreat. It’s deep in the woods, secluded, and in the midst of a snow storm. The staff there are not the friendliest and out of the 5 writers in the retreat, she’s stuck with Wren, her former best friend.

As the days go by, Roza uses different ways to push the girls to complete their novel. Some twists were easy to pick out, some were not.

The end was definitely wrapped up with a little bow.
