Die Weiße Rose by Amy Ewing

4.0

“If you admit you need people, you can lose them.' Her gaze sharpens, returning to the present. 'But needing people can save your life.”

Well, the White Rose was surprisingly better than the Jewel! I did not like the Jewel that much, so of course I am more than happy to have liked this one more.

This book is still a stereotypical dystopian book with a main heroine, who has a special ability and so one. However, just like Kiera Cass did it with the Selection, Amy Ewing has a very addictive writing style and the pages were flying. However, I feel that not much did happen in this book. I enjoyed it, yes, but if I have to summarize the book ... it wouldn't be that much.

Further, I really liked Violet's development. She is still whiny, but she got stronger, too, fighting for her friends, family and the Lone City.
I'm still not a fan of the Lovestory. I will never like instalove, and the romantic moments annoyed me, again. But at least we got a better glimpse on Ash' life. Nevertheless, I feel like every character in this book has to have a sad and cruel background.
My favourite characters is definitely Raven! I just love her the way she is. She is strong, she was broken, but still going on. Why can't she be the main character?

I am actually looking forward for the Black Key, really hoping that it will maintain my good impression.
