A fun little read to finish my Christmas break. I basically read it in a day, so it's an easy read and entertaining.
Things I liked:
- huge characters flaws that remain consistent, if not a little flat or irritating by the end
- the naivety of the main POV, reflective of her age and experience tbh
- the trials and tropes of everything we love about a smutty book
- the darker elements of the books.
Things I didn't like:
- the rushed endingafter the twist
-the way the main charcter yieldied her motivation throughout the book to be strong, only to give up the oppprtunity to save lover boy
the idea that the darkest night creatures have weddings
Things I am looking forward to more... the politics. More smut (fingers crossed).
Oh there's a glossary at the end. I found this 3/4s through and it would have been helpful. The map helps in 0 ways imo.
