Because of Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn

4.0

I’m a little frustrated lately with romances that have no actual stakes and are nothing beyond a couple falling for each other. This was cute and I did really enjoy George and Billie but there was no point to the book! Beyond them both feeling a little unsettled in life there’s nothing they wanted, no goal, no motivation, no stakes. Literally the black moment was George leaving a ball and not dancing with Billie. Lol. It was fun watching them fall for each other but literally nothing else happens.
