I loved this sweet love story that explored a lot of heavy topics! Yadriel's experience as a trans boy in a community that put so much emphasis on gender was moving and I loved how he grew through his relationship with Julian. My favorite part was the fantasy world of Yadriel and the brujx community - it was so richly drawn and I wanted to eat all of the food! I would have been happier with a little bit less emphasis on romance but this was a fantastic book! I'm hoping for a Maritza sequel!
