First things first: Silvera has a major talent for characterization. Everyone in this book is now my best friend. The set up of this book is exactly like There There by Tommy Orange. The multi pov isn't my favorite, and I could have done without it. The bright side is that it led us into the worldbuilding aspects and how this construct affects society through individual experiences. The ending annoyed me though. It did make me shed a tear. Some subplots were just completely unnecessary though. It was okay.
Graphic: Cursing, Gun violence, Hate crime, Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, Suicidal thoughts, Violence, Grief, Mass/school shootings, Suicide attempt, Death of parent, Murder, and Fire/Fire injury
