i had this book on my shelf for at least 4 years.... and i’m only now finishing it. that’s how unbothered i was.
in my opinion, magnus chase and the gods of asgard is the weakest series in all the rick riordan universe. i never connected with this mythology, the plot, and sadly the main character. to this day, magnus still feels like a cheap version of percy.....
i did enjoy samira, as always, alex fierro and hearthstone’s backstory. i will read the final installment soon, hoping it’ll be a bit less boring. i will say though, this series has really good rep and diversity, and it’s good for younger readers.
