Simone Breaks All the Rules by Debbie Rigaud

4.0

It took me a little bit to get into this book but I really liked it! A group of private school girls who are closely monitored by their parents make up a list of things they want to do before the end of the school year. For a YA novel mostly centered around prom… I didn’t hate it. And I don’t really like prom centered books. But I loved the Haitian culture and characters! The novel was narrated by the author and they did such a wonderful job! I would love to read more YA books with leading Haitian protagonists!
