Pretending in Paradise by M. Ullrich

2.0

4/10

Didn’t finish. (68%)

Sadly, the same thing that happened with Jae’s Wrong Number Right Woman happened with M. Ullrich’s Pretending in Paradise as well.

Not as slow-burnish as I’d like and I don’t feel much chemistry. To be honest, everything feels a bit rushed. I just couldn’t bring myself to read another sentence when I knew exactly how everything would play out. Even from the beginning, for some reason, I couldn’t get into the story nor characters.

Since I couldn’t finish the last third of the book the rating should be 1/10 but I gave it a 5/10 because it is nice - just not for me.

I gave Jae another shot and I’m so happy about it since I ended up loving the other book so I’ll be doing the same with Ullrich as well.
