If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio

Oh my gosh I am not okay. That ending?? How do I review this without spoilers?

It’s kinda obvious from early on who did it, but it took me a bit to understand why Oliver was the one in jail.

There were many many parts where I didn’t understand what was going on or why it was pertinent to the story. But even when I didn’t really understand what was happening, I was still on the edge of my seat. I did end up skimming a lot of the Shakespeare lines. It took awhile to get into and to understand who was who, I don’t love when books introduce more than like 3 people at a time. But after awhile you learn about the characters and start caring about them.

I’m choosing to have hope based on the ending. I’m not sure what his motivation would be to do such a thing but I will let the romantic in me believe that not all is lost.

One pet peeve: there were so many pages without paragraph breaks. Just a wall of text.
