Don't Turn Around by Michelle Gagnon

I’ll admit, my opinion of this book was completely established within the first couple of pages, and I couldn’t let it go. The first scene starts with the character strapped to a surgical table and hooked to an IV. But then she is out of the room with absolutely no other mention of the IV. It just disappears. She doesn’t take it out. It doesn’t rip out (ew). It’s just not there. This small little forgotten detail on the author’s part totally ruined the whole book for me. Of course, it is a pretty simple book anyway - so maybe it was an easy book to not like. I literally only read it as fast as I did to just get it over with.

I don’t think I’ll be reading the other books in the series unless I get really desperate for reading material.

Also, every time I saw the title of this book, I’d get the words to Der Kommissar stuck in my head.
