Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor Vol. 7: War of Gods by Nick Abadzis

4.0

While I enjoyed going to libraries as a child and have fond memories at my home library in the children's section, it wasn't until I was hired by a library for my first ever job that I absolutely fell in love with libraries. I had even considered studying library sciences but ultimately studied something else that I love. While I am working part-time at a library again and enjoy it, this book has brought back those feelings I once had about libraries.

The Library Book (which I borrowed from the library) kept me engaged from cover to cover. Uncovering (pun intended?) the details about the 1986 fire kept me on the edge of my seat. Meanwhile meeting people who are working or have worked at that library on the pages of the book was incredibly welcoming, real human beings can make quite a wonderful cast of characters. And finally, just getting the history of the Los Angeles library was an adventure. The way each of these stories was interwoven and almost episodic so that one story didn't end too early before the others was a great touch to the style of the book.

If you are into libraries, mystery, and history, then I definitely recommend this one.
