lies of the ajungo is a prime example of a great premise, but unusual execution. I liked the first half of this a lot more than the second. but there were so many key plot developments that occur I’m honestly puzzled why the author wanted to pack this much into a tiny novella less than 100 pages. I would’ve happily read more about asilah, lami, funme, and tutu’s return even if it meant the length had to be doubled! I might wait for the final book to be released later this year before continuing on.
Graphic: Violence and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Child death and Death of parent
