The Best Seat in the House: How I Woke Up One Tuesday and Was Paralyzed for Life by Allen Rucker

4.0

A writer of schlock TV specials and "The Sopranos" tie-in cookbook, Rucker wakes up one Tuesday in his early 50s being able to walk, has an odd attack and finishes his day paralyzed for life. I've read some other memoirs by disabled/paralyzed authors, so some of his realizations feel familiar, but his take on things is hilarious and entirely his own. A light, fun read.
