Out of this I really enjoyed how earnest Rhyson was towards Kai and their relationship.
The only reason I can't give this more than 3 stars is the miscommunication factor. I was honestly having a hard time with the pace of growth for Kai's character and how long it took the conflict to come out and as well as how abruptly it seemed to be resolved. With the way the book ended I can't imagine what a third book would necessitate.
