Bound to Danger by Katie Reus
5.0
Bound to Danger is Katie Reus's second book in the Deadly Ops series and it's fantastic. This high-action, fast-paced story will keep you turning the pages well past your bedtime.
While a reader may recognize the overall storyline (heroine overhears bad guys' plans, hero swoops in to protect her and saves the day) Katie Reus has kept it fresh. Maria and Cade (heroine and hero) are likable, well-matched characters who you cheer on to thwart the bad guys and find a way to make a relationship work. The action scenes are well-balanced and written in a way that you can picture them easily in your mind.
Another wonderful aspect to this story is that a person doesn't have to read the first book to enjoy the second. This story very much stands on its own even though it's part of a series.
Kudos, Katie Reus. Your Deadly Ops series is now going to be part of my auto-buy selections.
Note: Received an advanced copy from NetGalley for an honest review.
