“Death follows me, but maybe I could outrun death just this once.”

Oh, River Song, I miss you everyday. God, I miss her charming sociopathic wit with all my heart. The fact that Alex Kingston wrote and narrated this made the experience so much better. And there were sound effects. This was a whole production (as I’m told is common for Doctor Who audios). I loved how exciting and thrilling this adventure was and how River and Melody’s voices melded together to tell this story.

God, I especially loved the mentions of other characters, especially her parents and The Doctor, as well as mentions of past episodes. (And certain appearances at the end!!) Even the Stormcage details and aspects of her upbringing were interesting to see as well.

Ms. Alex Kingston, please write more River novels. (Or appear in the show because you’re my fave).
