I loved this. I love the bdsm scenes so so much. This was some of the best sex scenes I've ever heard and I never once wished they'd be over faster.
I'm a sucker for the exact type of self doubt this has. I enjoyed this kind of second chance romance because it doesn't hinge on cheating or something so heinous that the MC absolutely should not take the love interest back. I also really enjoyed that Colt got to reunite with his family but it wasn't picture perfect and wrapped in a pretty bow. The whole endeavor was very realistic while still being a fictional happy ending.
I like Avery being a sort of nerdy more deserved University professor while also being a very firm dom. It made for a really nice juxtaposition and characterization for him especially when contrasting with Colt being more impulsive and more go with the flow in a way that gets him in trouble more often. They play off each other really nicely and I really really love their relationship.
