This book used a unique format to tell an experience of one woman’s life long strength in the face of various challenges (for lack of a better word). I just wish the main character was more likeable - I think her portrayal is very realistic of so many people… but perhaps a little introspection and self-growth would have warmed me up to her. Ultimately, I felt sorry for Angela and Fernando who were victims of her actions and behaviour. But these actions were ultimately the result of her own experiences… the classic cycle of generational trauma. This book was worth a read for its interesting perspective, universal experiences and unique format. It was also a lesson in my own patience and understanding with a main character whose reasoning I didn’t like.
