Beautiful and clever. I am constantly impressed with how intricate the story telling is - previous volumes are continually echoed without the writing ever feeling repetitious. Every time I crack open another volume of Sandman, I cannot even begin to guess what direction the story might go in and it's proving to be a helluva ride.
