An excellent expansion on the original story, the shift in perspectives each chapter is something we've gotten used to in the Twisted Tales series and it makes for such a well rounded story.

It takes place right at the end of the film altering the last 10 minutes or so but I don't hate that, it sets the intention of the what if pretty much straight away. I love the expansion on Arthur not feeling worthy of the 'miracle' bestowed upon him and the twist on how that came to be in the first place.

You really see Arthur mature and grow in this book and it gives a satisfying comeuppance for certain characters which I think everyone can enjoy. The addition of Guinevere was unexpected but she's the perfect sidekick for this story! I thought Archimedes would've featured more given the main plot focussing on rescuing Merlin but where he did feature he was true to the grumpy bird we all know and love.
