An emotional, but hilarious, read. I found myself drawn to O'Connell's crystal clear voice as an author. His humor and wit are fast-paced and vicious, and it was a necessary balance during the darkest pages of this book. I found myself reflecting on my own life and coping strategies as I read - queerness, alcohol use, avoiding emotions - and I left this book feeling a positive change for my own life. I'm glad I stuck with it even when the main character's choices were painful (he gets there eventually!)
Graphic: Alcoholism
